Title: Simple and Easy Shipping( Yes even the newb vendor accounts)
Post by: nomad bloodbath on August 02, 2011, 12:13 pm
Vendors you don't have to ship product face to face with a usps clerk, you can just randomly walk into any post office and purchase a priority stamp for 4.95$ i do it at least once a week. The flat rate envelopes are free and usually just sitting out in the waiting area for you to just grab. I suggest everyone mailing under 32 ounces grab some flat rate envelopes & Priority stamps, gran some bubble mailers if you have product that might get damaged easy for extra internal flat rate letter envelopes and prepare your packages at home in privacy wearing latex gloves and dropping the envelops in random blueboxes across your local town or the next closest town. Super easy & simple guys, idk how it gets screwed up so easy. Flat rate sizes come from your average letter size up to big boxes depends on size you need for shipping product......DO NOT USE THESE FLAT RATE PACKAGES WITHOUT PURCHASING PRIORITY STAMPS< THAT IS THE ONLY REASON THOSE ENVELOPS & BOXES ARE FREE TO USE.

Good info. Thanks. All sellers should use this easy guide. The only thing I would add is a decent label printer and your golden.

Are you certain that dropping priority mailers in blue boxes is ok? I ask because in this thread (http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=1474.0) F104 says:

"1. Stop using Post Office red-white-and-blue Priority service mailers for First Class service. You don’t get the premium service simply by using the envelope. For the P.O. to offer speedy service they have to get your mailer in their hands at the moment you send it – you must hand it to them – you can’t drop it in a regular mailbox, they have no way to get into the Priority mailstream from a mailbox. The clerk takes it from you and throws it into the premium bin right there at the counter."

For priority, all you have to have is the 4.95 dollar stamp on it. You cant put the regular 4.95 stamp on a regular post office priority envelope, you have to purchase it from the teller and they will stamp it. You dont have to send it right then.

You can always buy your postage online and save some money. You would have to have an anonymous debit card, etc (I wouldn't do it)

IDK about other vendors and other post offices but here.
If I drop my package in a blue box before that boxes pickup time for the day is, I ship East Coast to West Coast 3 days I've yet it be a problem and i've been doing this since the early 90's in the cannabis scene.

This ^^^^^ is absolute and utter rubbish!!   Premium bin?   Priority mailstream??  Where do people come up with some of this stuff?  Anonymity is the name of the game folks.   No matter what step along the process you are on, if you can't remain anonymous you are doing it incorrectly!  Rule #1 when shipping contraband is USE DROP BOXES.   This is common sense stuff.

PS.  You guys do understand that you cannot walk into any US Post office without being videotaped and time stamped at least once but more than likely 2 or 3 or 4 times, right???

@th3creeper-well, you can say it's rubbish, but that's *exactly* what the woman behind the counter told my partner today when we asked this question.  Without getting into an argument of the definitions involved in USPS logistics, he was told that Priority Mail must come to the counter.  If not brought to the counter, it has a very slim chance of going with the other Priority Mail, like it is supposed to, and will, in all likelihood be moved and delivered with all the other First Class mail.  She also told him this was one of the Top 3 questions that people ask her because apparently the Post Office has done a very poor job of explaining to people what they need to do to get their Priority Mail actually mailed in a Priority manner.

The frequent listings we see of "flags" the Post Office uses to identify suspicious packages also very clearly points out that items bearing too much postage for their method of mailing are red flagged...hence it would follow that a Priority Mail pak with $4.95 on it going the route of all other $0.44 mail would stand out.  At least that's how I read those items on that memo. :)

Not sure if I understood that...

1) Buy bubble mailer from local store
2) Put product in bubble mailer
3) Purchase $4.95 Priority stamp @ P.O.
4) Grab a Red-and-White Priority envelope on your way out of the P.O. (they are free, don't worry)
5) Put bubble mailer inside Priority envelope
6) Apply Priority stamp to the Priority envelope
7) Drop off at a bluebox or hand it to the clerk at the P.O.

Only one person in this thread still visits this forum.  You dug up an ancient thread from August 2011.

PRIORITY MAIL IS FIRST CLASS MAIL!!!
